To get a head start on the year 2013, I’d like to share with you some Instagram photos from the amazing year I had last 2012.

I must say that 2012 is one of my happiest years, seeing that many doors of opportunities have opened for me and experience have led me to meeting awesome new people. Even though I had to say “goodbye” to some along the way and some opportunities may never be opened again, it still was an awesome year. After all, I never regretted the choices I made last year. Those trials and hardships made me stronger and even wiser, ready for 2013!

Cheers for the succesful and blessed 2012!

Andrea Amparo and I were fortunate enough to be invited to try Max’s SM Lanang Premier’s newest promo, Chicken-All-You-Can for as low as P209!

Before I start to babble about my experience, Here’s a little history of Max’s: In 1945, after World War II, American troops stationed in Quezon City will regularly visit Maximo Gimenez’s house for a drink, until they insisted to pay for their drinks. So Maximo opened a café which served chicken, steak, and drinks. They named the restaurant “Max’s” after Maximo.

So the Chicken-All-You-Can promo runs from November 16 to November 30 every     6-9pm and ONLY at Max’s SM Lanang Premier located at 2/F near the Sky Garden.

Max’s Bakery Corner serves all kinds of sweets and pastries; from cakes, gift boxes and even Filipino treats na pwedeng pwede na pang pasalubong!

I really loved Max’s even before. I think it’s because of the cozy and homey ambiance the place always gives. Plus every bite of their food defines Philippines since their menu serves mostly Filipino dishes!

What’s a great place without a wonderful staff? Here’s Max’s SM Lanang’s friendly and approachable staff!

I actually had a second round of their chicken, thanks to the Chicken-All-You-Can promo. Plus, I don’t even feel guilty for having too much chicken because Max’s original fried chicken has been cooked totally MSG-free. Now that’s my kind of chicken! Di lang “Sarap to the bones!”, healthy pa! haha.

Since we couldn’t choose the dessert we really want (because everything looks delicious). Our server suggested we try their Dessert Sampler which includes a Ube Creme Decadence, Buko Pandan, Leche Flan and Cream Caramel Brownie Ala Mode.

My experience was great! So visit Max’s Restaurant Davao (Abreeza branch and SM Lanang branch) to have your own great experience just like mine!

Spirale - Named after a thick corkscrew shape pasta also known as Fusilli

Gamberi Aglio E OlioShrimps cooked in garlic and olive oil.

I’d absolutely recommend you to order this! It would also be lovely if you order bread and dip it to Gamberi Aglio E Olio’s coulis.

Gordo - Pizza with tomato, mozzarella, ham, back olives and assorted sausages.

I did not like it because It didn’t taste right. There was something wrong or missing.

I ordered Panna Cotta for my dessert. It was okay but definitely not the best.

For me and my mom, Café Breton has the best crepes ever! Thanks to my friends, Issa and Tricia who suggested to eat at Café Breton last December. After my first experience at Café Breton, I promised myself to come back for more! Oh wait, we come back often  after that day.

Butter & Sugar Crepe with Vanilla Ice Cream - My all-time favorite!

My mom ordered her usual Butter & Sugar Crepe.

Mozzarella Burger - My mom said it was super yummy, so I decided to order it. I wasn’t satisfied though. It was just plain old cheeseburger but with thicker patty and of course, Mozzarella cheese.
